Support Communities in the Dominican Republic
What We Do:
Caribbean Health Assistance, Rehabilitation and Management (C.H.A.R.M.) is an Ohio-based, 501c3 non-profit organization. We are dedicated to introducing health and wellness and education programs, renovating and maintaining healthcare and educational facilities, and distributing clothing and other health-related supplies essential to the well-being of the general population.
How We Do It:
We conduct various fundraising activities here in the United States. The funds are then sent to the Dominican Republic where local tradesmen are hired to do the building projects.
Each year we also take a group of volunteers to the Dominican Republic, each paying their own way, where we complete smaller projects, deliver hygiene kits, school kits, and newborn kits, and have the opportunity to interact with the communities we serve.
The 2024 Trip was a Success
We took an amazing group of volunteers to Puerto Plata in October 2024. They built bunkbeds for the orphanage, painted a new community center that CHARM built, conducted pre-natal and dental exams, did some landscaping, played games and did activities with the school kids, delivered supplies to the schools, toured the city, and spent time on the beach.

Since returning home, another classroom has been built in La Piragua complete with a tile floor and two ceiling fans.
